A Night of Magic (Magikaria Experience)

It was the night of December 23 when my siblings and I were treated to a night of fun and magic at SMX Hall of Mall of Asia. I got invites from PRC Inc. (thanks again to Ms. Jozen and Mr. Alvin) that allowed us to enjoy the gala night of Magikaria. It was actually a special show since they invited a group of kids that were sponsored (I'm not sure from what group/institution they're from). So imagine the venue filled with kids who were very eager to see tricks and exciting performance.

The show started with Mr. Jon Weiss, which invited some kids to join him on stage so he could teach them how to balance a feather. He is actually a master balancer by the way. And then he wowed us all by performing difficult balancing acts, which started from peso bill, cap, kid's shoe, all with the use of his nose. Then he moved to shopping cart (yes, that big steel one), ladder, and then the metal barricade used in events using his chin. It was really amazing!

I remember the dark-skinned guy with glasses with that very nice baritone voice. He was singing the songs live while the other members of the circus family were dancing. All the girls were so flexible, especially the lady that performed balancing acts on two metal rods. She's pretty too and she reminds me of Idina Menzel.

There were also illusions that were performed and I was still amazed with their performance even if I know that those were just tricks (they really move fast that everything felt real). Those were really some of the acts that I looked forward to.

Patrick Gabel, who is the main face of Magikaria, was part of more than three performances. He was good with the suspension (I think I would have collapsed after his act). He was also the one who performed the illusion acts. I'm not sure if you will find him good looking given the quality of the photos I took but he really is. A lot of teenagers were even screaming his name and even asked for photos at the end of the show haha!

There were acts that I was not able to take photos of since I was busy capturing them on video. But overall, we enjoyed the entire show. You still have a chance to be witness this since they'll be having their last day tomorrow. So go ahead and purchase your tickets for Magikaria (especially if you have kids at home). I'm sure that it will be a great experience for them. Have a great day!

Floral One-piece Swimsuit (with Cutout) from Cinderella

I already mentioned before that I have a collection of swimsuits. But the thing is, it is very rare for me to buy a one-piece. Most of the time, I find it hard to move/swim when I wear one. And the fact that I can maximize two-piece items more (I love doing mix and match), I end up buying more of that type.

I did not intend on buying a new swimsuit for my El Nido trip since I still have some pairs that I haven't worn. But then when I saw the unique design (especially the cutout), I fell in love with it instantly! And who won't be happy with the fact that it was priced at Php399.00 (it was on sale that time) right?

I just decided to pair this cute swimsuit with my pink bandeau skirt from St. Francis Square Mall. If I remember it right, I bought this skirt at Php150.00. What can you say about this look?

It is only few hours away from 2014! Are you excited already? I've been trying to contemplate on the things and events that happened to me for the past 12 months. I've been filled with thoughts about my travel, new friends and stronger relationships for old ones and all other amazing events that I happened to attend this year. I'm really thankful for every blessings and everything that made me happy (as well as those things that made me learn some life lessons) and I am wishing for a better year ahead not only for me but for my family and friends, including all of you my dear readers. I pray that may the Lord bless you all and hear all your prayers for 2014. Happy New Year to all!

Avon's Limited Edition Color Fold-Up Palette (Phph699.00)

December 29, 2013

For 2014, I wanted to somehow experiment more in terms of applying makeup. And it was one of those times when I was just randomly browsing the internet for some items when I chanced upon this budget-friendly product from Avon: the Limited Edition Color Fold-Up Palette.

When I got hold of this item two weeks ago, I really find the packaging cute and very travel-friendly. It consists of 18 eyeshadows, 18 lip glosses and 3 blushes. It also comes with 1 blush-on brush, dual-ended lip brush, and dual-ended eyeshadow applicator. This amazing product costs Php999.00 online. However, if you know someone who is an Avon Lady, then you can buy from her on a discount like me (thanks to my neighbor again!). So I got this palette for only Php699.00! Good deal right? I am still not yet able to use this new purchase. But I'll definitely try this on January 1 haha! Hope I would be able to do justice to this kit for my future outfit posts.

So, how did you celebrate Christmas? I spent mine the way my family and I are spending that special day: going to our aunties' house in Manila to see our relatives from the side of my father. Since we transferred somewhere in the south 5 years ago, we only get to see our relatives during Christmas and on Feast of Sto. Niño. It is always fun to see my cousins (all are now taller than me) to bond and to update each others with latest the happenings in our lives.

Anyway, it has been four days already and we all know that reunions and get-togethers do not stop on that specific day so I hope that you can still keep up with your hectic schedule for the holiday season. Take care of your health too since we are more expose with unhealthy lifestyle with all those yummy food and drinks that are served everywhere. I still have colds but I'm hoping that I get well before Wednesday. But despite the colds, I am going to make the most out of the three days that I don't have work (I'll be organizing my things and my list of plans for 2014!). Hope all of us can be productive and be full of joy while welcoming the new year.  Amazing Sunday to everyone!

December 24, 2013

Less than 2 hours from now and it is already Christmas Day! Well at least here in the Philippines. I'm sure you are all excited for the occasion like me. I may not be feeling well right now (I've got cough and colds *sad*) but that didn't stop me from doing some last minute shopping this afternoon for gifts to my family (I was only able to buy gifts for my father and my youngest sister last week). I hope they'll be happy with what I bought for them.

I mentioned that I had a hectic schedule last Saturday because of the three get-togethers that I attended. But being busy the entire day was all worth it since I got to see my college friends again! There are some of them that I haven't seen for years which made the gathering more special. And it is always fun that when we have this gathering, we end up giving each other some gifts. And who doesn't love receiving one right? Those friends of mine are really thoughtful and sweet and I will always treasure the friendship that we built throughout the years. Walang iwanan guys ha? Love you all!

And because I feel so happy and special this time of the year, I am now going to share that with you my beloved readers. I will be hosting my first giveaway here on The Budget Fashion Seeker! El Nido, Palawan Day 2

December 22, 2013

Hello everyone! How was your Sunday? After a hectic day yesterday (I attended three get-togethers from 10:00am to 8:00pm) so I decided to just stay at our unit and do a movie marathon. It was a lazy Sunday indeed as my roommate called it, but we did have fun lunch and dinner since she did not go to their house for the weekend like me.

And as promised, here are the photos of our second day in El Nido. It was another whole day of island hopping, and this time we were on combination of Tour B and Tour D. I am not sure why I was not paying attention with the names of the islands, but like I said in my last post, I was already satisfied just by Snake Island alone. It is the one with the long sand bar that was really amazing to walk on (though we were concern with our cameras that time). Anyway, I didn't use the snorkel this time and just went for leisure swim and some relaxation time on the shore. The other spots that we went to that I remember are 7 Commando, Cadlao Island, Pangulasian Beach and Paradise Beach. We even went to one cave (there were two in the entire list) called Codognon Cave. That one had been a memorable experience since it was my first time to enter such a small whole as an entrance that we can only pass if we are lying down. The duration of the boat ride was tiring since the islands are more apart from each other unlike the last time (maybe because we only got to visit few islands the first day). But it was still all fun since I was there with my adorable friends.

I still have lots of photos from this trip (we were there for 4 days and 4 nights) so hope you visit my blog again. Happy Sunday to all!
